PARENTS STRUGGLING TO FIND BIBLICAL SOLUTIONS

Text: Ephesians 6:1-4
Theme: The Christian parent needs a home built upon biblical 
principles.
When I was reading through the book of Genesis a few years ago it 
became apparent to me (pardon the pun) the struggles family-after-family had (examples: Gen 25:28; 27:13; 37:3-4)
? Why do these families who are used mightily by God 
struggle to raise their own children?
While I do not believe that God left these families to struggle with 
no help or answers, but these families did not have the Word of 
God as we do
Principles from Proverbs (22:15; 23:15, 26; 1:10; 13:20)
Exposition of Ephesians (6:1-4; Col 3:21)
This is training and restraining (1 Sam 3:13)
Teach them to love God and others
Teach them to resolve issues
Teach them how to ask for forgiveness
Teach them how to have a relationship with God
Training takes time – discipline without instruction leads to 
resentment
Discipline without love leads to bitterness
