The Will of God “Found”
Text: Genesis 2
Theme: The will of God in your life starts with obeying what God 
has already commanded.
What is the one point I am trying to get across? I have found God’s 
will for your life – obey Him
In Genesis 1 we found that God is able to speak and His will be 
done perfectly. BUT what happens once God creates man?
Genesis 2:7-9
Through these trees God provided everything that a man 
needed
The one tree, the tree of life, speaks of eternal life through 
obedience. 
The other tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil 
speaks of eternal death through disobedience
? After reading verses 15-17, what would you say the will of the 
Lord was for Adam and Eve?
Theme: The will of God in your life starts with obeying what God 
has already commanded.
The will of God is first, and foremost, a matter of your obedience
It really comes down to, how much authority does God have in 
your life?
