God has created each soul for His honor and glory
He has first entrusted us with our own soul
He has also entrusted us with the souls of others
I. What moved Christ to have compassion for 
others (Matthew 9)
A day in the life of Christ…
Notice these key verses from Matthew 9:1, 2, 9-12, 14, 18-
20, 27, 32, 35-38
V. 35 is key to understanding what moved Christ to compassion 
and moved Him to ask for prayer
What moved Christ to compassion was being in the midst of 
those that were hurting & in need
II. What should move Christians to have compassion for others
(Matt. 10:1-7; 28:18-20)
MARK 3:14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with 
him, and that he might send them forth to preach, LUKE 8:1
And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every 
city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the 
kingdom of God: AND THE TWELVE WERE WITH HIM, 
It is getting in the midst of people that will give you a 
greater burden for people
