Text: Psalm 144
Theme: What it looks like to become close to God.
While David still refers to his enemy, I want to focus on his friend. While battling his enemies David became closer to his closest friend
I. When God becomes your everything (vv. 1, 2, 15)
I could define, explain or illustrate each statement that he makes, but I believe what David would want you to conclude is that God has become His everything
II. When you become God’s everything ( vv. 3, 4)
Job 7:17 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? 18 And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?
We love God because of who He is; God loves us in spite of who we are! THIS IS A CRUCIAL TRUTH!
