One of the hardest struggles that we have as Christians is that with all that God has done for us we sometimes still feel so defeated
I. The nature of the old man (Eph 2:1-3; 11, 12)
The nature of the old man can be summed up with one word – SEPARATED. Separated from God, God’s blessings, God’s people…
Dead in our sins… separated from God… we had no hope… BUT GOD & BUT NOW everything has changed
II. The nature of the new man (Eph 2:13-19; 4:17-21)
Key verses: 2 Cor 5:17; Rom 12:1, 2
The nature of the new man can be summed up in one word – RECONCILED (so making peace)
Key verses: Eph 2:4, 8-11, 13-19
Too often we live the Christian life like nothing has changed
God has not only broken the penalty of sin, but the power of sin
