Theme: Christ’s death and resurrection gave believers victory over the penalty of sin and the power of death.
I. What He had finished (John 19:30)
“It is finished” before He died, but after His blood was shed
The law was fulfilled
The prophecy was fulfilled
The payment for sin has been paid
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

We partake of communion because of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection
