SAVED, BUT STUBBORN AND STRUGGLING TO OBEY
4/12/2026-Evening Worship
Text: Acts 10:13, 14 & Various passages
Theme: Do you find yourself like Peter, saying “no” to the Lord and 
struggling from within? 
I will emphasize Peter, but who else disobeyed the Lord? 
Consider the multiple times in which Peter was stubborn and even 
arrogant 
Matt 16:21-23 When the Lord announced that he had to suffer and 
be killed
Matt 26:31-35 When the Lord announced that they would all 
forsake Him and Peter would deny Him
Luke 5:3-5 When the Lord asked Peter to let down his net on the 
other side of the ship 
John 13:5-10 When the Lord was teaching humility by washing their 
feet
Luke 5:8-11 & John 21:3 When Peter left fishing only to return to it 
later
How could the Lord ever use Peter? Did Peter have to become 
perfect or almost perfect first? Peter’s responses were still sinful 
What is the answer?
Watch and pray about situations that tempt you (Matt 26:41)
Think before you answer checking your spirit and your words 
(Prov. 15:28; 16:1)
