We Believe, Hold, & Defend The Following Statements
Declaration of Faith

The Holy Scriptures – We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the Word of God.  The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, therefore, they are the final authority for faith and life.  The King James Version of the Bible shall be the translation used in teaching and preaching by this church.  (2 Tim. 3:16-1l7; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

The Godhead (The Trinity) – We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Each person of the Godhead having the same power, glory, attributes and perfections.  (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; John 14:10, 26)

The Person and Work of Christ – We believe in the eternal Son of God that became incarnate through His virgin birth.  We also believe in Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the world.  After His literal bodily resurrection He ascended into Heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of God.  (Isa. 7:14; 9:6; John 1:1, 14; Rom 5:8; 8:34; Acts 1:9, 10)

Salvation – We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  This gift of salvation cannot be earned by any merit of our own. (John 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Matt. 12:31-32; 1 John 1:9)

The Church and its ordinances – The Church is an assembly of those that have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.  We then have two ordinances through which we identify with Christ: baptism and communion.  These both point to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Cor. 11:23-26; 12:12-27)

Heaven and Hell – We believe that both Heaven and Hell are literal places described by God in His Word.  Each makes up the eternal abode of believers (Heaven) and those that have not trusted Christ for salvation (Hell).  Heaven is in the eternal presence of God, while Hell is eternal separation from God.  (Phil. 1:23; 3:21; I Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 20:4-6, 11-15; Matt. 25:41-46)
