Theme: What does it take to make the celebration of Christmas sinful?
What is the one point I am trying to get across? Is it sinful to celebrate Christmas?
Celebrating Christmas is not the celebration of when Christ was born, but the celebration of the fact that He was born (like shepherds, Simeon, Anna, etc)
What does wrong mean? Are they saying it is sinful?
What do you mean by celebrate?
Some “arguments” (not in a specific order)
1. The Bible condemns having Christmas trees (Jer 10:2-6ff)
The story of the Christmas tree (originating with Christians in Germany) started two millennia later
2. The Bible never commands us to celebrate Christmas
3. Christmas was started as a pagan celebration
A key principle may be found in Romans 14:1-8
4. What about Santa Claus?
