Lesson 1: Leading Souls to Christ

Theme: A basic foundation for understanding “soul winning”.
Pr 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Presenting the Gospel to people should be a priority for every Christian (Mark 16:15; Matt 28:19, 20)
Knocking on doors vs hanging door hangers
Hanging door hangers – sowing the seed of the Gospel and information
Knocking on doors – seeking to harvest for the cause of Christ
Can we say that it’s harder to lead a soul to Christ these days? (Heb 1:1, 2; 2:1-4; Acts 5:28)
The Holy Spirit knows the need of the individual, the culture and the age in which you live and witness
Beware of “knee-jerk” practices or unbiblical thinking
Easy believism – focuses on eternal life and not glorifying God
Lordship salvation – “If you don’t make Him Lord of all He isn’t Lord at all”
Requiring repentance as a work – “God will forgive you if YOU repent of all your sins”
Some would say that you don’t receive (accept) Christ; He receives you (Col 2:6; John 1:11-13)
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
