To pray/intercede to God on behalf of the people

Who were the NT prophets? (Eph 4:11; 1 Cor 12:28)
Philip, Silas, Barnabas, Simon Niger, Stephen and others in history have been spoken of as being prophets of the NT
1 Cor 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
