Ezra 7:1-10

Since last Sunday how many days did you spend time in God’s Word? Are you concerned about your answer? Is God concerned about the time that you are spending?

Have you ever considered if you are able to help others with what you are learning? Your Bible study should be more than just for you

Ezra was living during a time when God wasn’t openly revealing Himself to mankind (Lam 2:9; Amos 8:11, 12)

Ezra was also a man who the hand of the Lord was upon (vv. 6, 10)

Ezra was a “ready scribe” (v. 6)

Ready – diligent, skilled, quick

Scribe – copy, study and interpret

Ezra “prepared his heart” (v. 10)

Preparation of the heart impacts direction of the life

Ezra wrote the books of Chronicle and he had written about three kings who didn’t prepare their hearts and because of that they did evil (Rehoboam, Jehoshaphat and Jotham)
