Last week: The Lord gives us grace to be gracious to those that sin

God leaves the restoration of the fallen to the “spiritual”.  But, how do we know if we are spiritual?

Those that love and not injure the other

Those that are walking in the Spirit – not the flesh

Those that are able to display the fruit of the Spirit

What then is your goal?  What are you trying to accomplish?  Are you trying to hurt them?  Is the Holy Spirit leading you to hurt them?

Paul’s goal was to reconcile and to restore Onesimus – to more than he ever had been!

  1. God’s goal to restore others demands your involvement (Phile 1:5-17)

Onesimus runs a thousand miles to Rome… (his story)

  1. God’s goal will exceed your expectations (Phile 1:15-16; Col 4:7-9)

Changing a person’s life through forgiveness – yours, not God’s

Key passage: Colossians 4:7-9
