Esther 1-3

Did you ever think about how anger in a Christian’s life has many similarities to anger in an unbeliever’s life?

As a Christian you can commit any sin an unsaved person can except rejecting Jesus Christ

Key verses to consider: Esther 1:12, 19-2:1, 21; 3:5, 6; 5:9

SELFISHNESS – trigger to anger

If someone is treating you sinfully (and angers you) what is your responsibility?

?   Are you ministering to them or sinning against them?

Psa 145:8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Biblical Change

1.   Ask yourself what you are wanting [selfishly, because you love yourself] (James 4:1-3)   2.   Ask the Lord to help you from focusing on loving them instead of loving yourself (Phil 2:1-8)

3.   Trust in the sovereignty of God – nothing will happen to you that God doesn’t direct or permit (Gen 50:19, 20)
