God’s grace is God’s unmerited favor
“An imperfect Church declaring to you a perfect Saviour”
Why would God ever want to start a relationship with someone or even a people that could never live up to what He would want them to become?
I. God can change you from who you once were (1 Cor 1:1-9)
The words mentioned here in the opening of this book are written to a Church known for its imperfections and struggles
The only perfect member of the body of Christ is Jesus Christ our rightful head
II. God will help you become what you ought to be (2 Cor 13:11, 14)
Notice the reference to the trinity
Notice the combination of grace, love and relationship
