Text: Genesis 
Theme: When you trust God you find peace in serving Him even in 
when you don’t understand.
Trusting God’s providence (Gen 37:5-9)
1 CORS 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then 
face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as 
also I am known. 
But God, because of His providence and sovereignty sees 
clearly, vividly and in full color 
Trusting God’s sovereignty (Gen 39:1-6, 20-22; 40:1, 23; 50:15-21)
Trusting God’s providence you trust that God knows the end 
from the beginning
Trusting God’s sovereignty you trust that God makes the right 
decisions along the way
After being wrongly sold…
After being falsely accused 
After being forgotten
After his fathers death…
Each time Joseph continued to serve the Lord finding peace 
through His service and contentment in trusting the Lord
