Text: Acts 13:1-14
Theme: The Holy Spirit leads the Church into ministry. 
Introduce chapter 13 w/ Acts 14:26; 15:23 & 12:23-25
Acts 13:1-5 – The Holy Spirit sends men from Antioch into the 
uttermost part of the world
The main authority in sending missionaries is the Holy Ghost
Notice who makes up the Church
Notice how God works through the Church – choosing those 
that are already active
Acts 13:6-12 – Paul is opposed by Elymas as they spread the Gospel
Think of the irony of verses 11 & 12
1. Satan is trying to blind Sergius Paulus…
2. The blindness of Elymas was what brought him to the light of 
salvation
