The Book of Acts
Text: Acts 11:15-24
Theme: Jewish believers begin to recognize salvation had come to 
the Gentiles as well.
Do you believe that “they of the circumcision” were truly 
Christians? GREAT QUESTION
Are there any biblical evidences that they were saved? (Acts 
11:1-3, 18)
These were known to agree to the work of the apostles… But 
God giving a dream to a Gentile and the subsequent activities 
had caused alarm
I understand visions better by these verses. There’s an angel, a 
vision and the Spirit of the Lord (vv. 5-10)
The Holy Spirit coming on them that believed is described in several 
ways: fell on them, baptized with the Holy Ghost and the like gift 
(vv. 15-17)
Study of Antioch 
IDEA: Take a “blank” map of these regions and trace the 
preaching of the Gospel through Acts
Mark the city and write the reference 
Draw a line to the next city…
Antioch was the capital of Syria
The third largest city in the Roman Empire (Rome & Alexandria)
Inhabited by a large population of Jews
Many Hellenistic Jews lived there
It is believed that the Hellenistic Jews that scattered from 
Jerusalem preached there with many conversions
