II. The signs of the apostles (vv. 12-16)
Sign gifts to the Jews
1st – Acts 2:4 – speaking in tongues
2nd – Acts 3 – healing of the lame man
3rd – Acts 5:12 – many signs and wonders
Filled with the Holy Ghost
1st – Acts 2 – they spake with tongues
2nd – Acts 4 – Peter spoke before the Sanhedrin
3rd – Acts 4 – Apostles testified with boldness
Acts 5 is the first mention of Satan filling their heart
