Psalm 63

1 my soul thirsteth for thee… 5 My soul shall be satisfied8 My soul followeth hard after thee... 9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it….

What are you concerned about most when the trials of life hit you like pounding waves?

Notice David distinguishes between his soul and his flesh or body

Key passage: 2 Samuel 15:29-31

He wants to see God’s power and glory in his life

Psa 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

David didn’t want to see the sanctuary of God, he wanted to see the God of the sanctuary

When is the last time (if ever) that you hungered and thirsted for God?

What does that look like?
