10/2/2022
Message 16 in the series: Resting in Romans
Text: Romans 8:28, 29
Theme: Understanding what will become good through all things.

What DOESN’T “good” mean?
Is it simply all of life will end up being good?
Situational (circumstances) good vs spiritual good

While God does work in mysterious ways, is that what this
verse is saying?
Does Romans 8:28 specifically say, that bad things will turn out
for good?

What DOES “good” mean?
Is Romans 8:28 about all the situations of life will become
good or that God can work good in through the spiritual
benefits of life?
The good according to verse 29 is Christ-likeness.
This verse isn’t to make us think everything will be good – but
that God is good in everything

Key verses: Eccl 3:10, 11; Gen 50:18-20

Applications:
Then we need to trust in the goodness of God no matter what we
go through
The we need to look at how God may use this in someone else’s life
Then we need to look to grow through all the situations that God
takes us through
