Romans 5:6-6:15

Introducing verses: 1 John 5:10-13 &; 3:1, 2

So many Christians are troubled about the assurance of their
salvation… They don’t FEEL like they are truly saved

There are two attributes of God that led to your salvation that
also lead to your assurance: love & grace

I. God’s love assures you of your eternal salvation – your
salvation is based on God’s love, not your perfection (Rom
5:6-10)

If God loved you when you were a sinful enemy, then He will
continue to love you even as a sinful child?
God loves you with an everlasting love (Jer 31:3)

II. God’s grace assures you of your eternal salvation – your
salvation is based on God’s grace, not your perfection (Rom
5:20-6:5)

John Newton said, "I am a great sinner, and Christ is a great
Saviour."

YOUR SALVATION ISN’T BASED ON WHO YOU ARE, BUT ON WHO GOD IS
AND WHAT HE HAS DONE!!
