Greetings Friends,
I hope this letter finds you all doing well in God’s tender care!

Visit to the United States - I am currently in the States for a visit to see family, pick up
supplies, and take care of routine business. It is so nice being back in the States after
three years! I was able to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with family, and, in two weeks, I head back to Romania! Please pray for wisdom as I still have a lot of business and packing to do!

Church Ministry - Thank you for praying for our church in Timisoara, Romania. A few months ago we had three teens follow the Lord in baptism. This was an answer to prayer! Also, we have one new babe in Christ, a young man named Octavian. Thank you also for praying for our children’s ministry. Recently I started teaching the memory verse segment each Sunday in Romanian. I love this! I am praying specifically for the salvation of the oldest boy in our class. His name is Stephen. Church attendance has grown because of all the Ukrainians who have fled the war. We recently tore down a middle wall and expanded our auditorium to make space for everyone. This is wonderful as some Sundays we were cramped when numbers reached around 100. Please pray too for wisdom in ministering with the Ukrainians. It is so difficult to watch their cities continue to be bombed and see the great pain and suffering. About a third of the people attending our church are Ukrainian.

Romanian Language & Romanian Sign Language - Early this past year I was able to take some Romanian Sign Language classes. I know some basic Romanian Sign Language but will continue working this year to develop fluency in both spoken language and signed language. Thank you for praying! Several times I’ve been asked if I have Romanian parents. This may be because my pronunciation or accent is good but I struggle with grammar and understanding new words.

Deaf Ministry - Phase 1 & Phase 2 - I am grateful to be closer to having phase one of
ministry done. That has been to learn language, culture, and to build relationships. In
phase two I will need to develop a team in our church to reach the deaf people of our city and country. Please be in prayer for me as I finish up phase one and prepare for phase two. I am asking God for the people needed for this team and also for a deaf couple that can help us in the beginning stages. In phase two, discipleship and training in Romanian sign language, culture, and deaf ministry outreach means I will need certain materials prepared and / or translated. I am praying about what I can start translating now so it is ready when I begin phase two.

Back to Romania - When I fly back to Romania in a couple of weeks I plan to serve two more years and then take a furlough in 2025. Also, at the end of those two years I will be able to apply for a 5 year visa! This would provide me with at least a solid four year time frame for my second term.

Thank you so much for the tender care and support!
By His Sustaining Grace,
Nicole Condra
